Hello there and welcome to another exciting episode of What You Need 2 Know!

No, this is not another Android running tablet and it is certainly not the next iPad.

What you are seeing here is HP’s TouchPad.

So why did HP not join the bandwagon and have Google’s Android run on its tablet?

Well, thats probably because it would be stupid for the company to pay a billion dollars to acquire Palm and not use its much loved OS.

This tablet runs webOS 3; the latest version of the user friendly operating system, previously found on Palm’s mobile phones.

It features a very cool card and stack system for organizing all active applications, an expandable keyboard to aid your typing experience and Just Type, allowing users to search by text through apps, the Web or contacts and crank out status updates and e-mails without entering an individual app.

Make sure to click here to see the OS in action.

Other stuff:

Charge the tablet just by placing it on the TouchStone dock.

Tap your Palm phone to the tablet to continue the browsing experience.

If you are on the same Wifi network as your phone, text messages and calls can be forwarded to the tablet.

Wireless syncing to your HP printer will enable printing pictures and documents directly from the tablet.
